Which letters should be used to create your monogram?
One letter monogram
For one person: it is most common to use your last name initial but some people (mainly children or young adults) use their first name initial. For a couple or family: Last name initial. One single initial make a great family monogram. Use the initial of the family name and if you want you can add the family name by clicking on “Add Text”.
Two letter monogram
For one person: First name – Last name. For a couple: Woman’s initial – Man’s initial.
Three letter monogram
For one person (when the middle initial is either larger or emphasized in another manner): from left to right: The first initial – Last name – Middle initial. For one person (when all three initials are equal): from left to right: The first initial – Middle initial – Last name. For a couple: from left to right: The woman’s initial – Last name – Man’s initial For a married woman who wants to include her maiden name: from left to right: First name – New last name – Maiden name.
